Dice strawberries and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Melt butter and chocolate chips together over low heat until smooth, then let cool slightly.
Whisk in sugar, then add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
Fold in most of the strawberries and optional white chocolate chips.
