Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Dice strawberries and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Melt butter and chocolate chips together over low heat until smooth, then let cool slightly.
  • Whisk in sugar, then add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in most of the strawberries and optional white chocolate chips.
  • Spread batter into pan and top with remaining strawberries.
  • Bake for 28–32 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Pat strawberries dry to avoid excess moisture. Do not overbake—centers should remain fudgy. Store in an airtight container with paper towels to absorb moisture. Best flavor develops after one day.
