Ingredients
2cupsWater Filtered preferred
1Lemongrass stalk Fresh or 1 tbsp dried
1inchCinnamon stick Wholenot powdered
1tbspGuava leaves Dried or 3β4 fresh leaves
0.5inchGinger root Freshsliced (or ΒΌ tsp dried)
1tspHibiscusopt. Optional for color + tartness
to taste Raw honeyopt. Or stevia for sugar-free version
Instructions
Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
Add Ingredients
Add lemongrass, cinnamon, guava leaf, ginger, and hibiscus (if using).
Simmer
Lower heat and simmer uncovered for 10β12 minutes.
Strain & Serve
Strain tea into mugs, add sweetener if desired, and serve hot.
Optional Chill
For iced tea, cool completely and refrigerate. Serve over ice.
