Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Rolling Pin
  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 cups peaches, peeled and diced
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp salt (for filling)

Instructions

  • Combine warm milk, yeast, and a little sugar. Let sit until foamy.
  • Mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  • Add yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix into dough.
  • Knead dough for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover and let dough rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Mix peaches, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Roll dough into a rectangle and spread with softened butter.
  • Spread peach filling evenly over dough.
  • Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 rolls.
  • Place in baking dish, let rise 30–45 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Use well-drained peaches to avoid soggy rolls. Dough should be soft and slightly tacky. Cover with foil if tops brown too quickly. Best served warm. Store airtight up to 2 days or refrigerate up to 5 days. Freeze up to 3 months.
