Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brown ground beef in skillet over medium heat.
Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Drain fat once browned.
Stir in cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup shredded cheese, and optional frozen vegetables.
Transfer mixture to a greased 9x13” baking dish.
Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top (optional for extra creaminess).
Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until tots are golden and the filling bubbles.
Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
